The Opening of One Faculty Position at Miyagi Gakuin Women's College

The Department of English, Miyagi Gakuin Women's College, Sendai, Japan
has one faculty position to be filled by a contract associate professor,
assistant professor or lecturer as of April 1, 2001. The contract is for
two years and can be extended for a maximum of an additional two years.
Selections are to be made on an open competition basis, and anyone
meeting the minimum requirements listed below is urged to apply for the
position.

Minimum Requirements:
The applicant should hold an MA degree or equivalent in the field of
applied linguistics, TESOL or English linguistics, and have publications
related to his/her field. The applicant of any nationality can apply if
he/she is a native speaker of English and has taught English as a second
language. The applicant must be under the age of 45 as of April 1, 2001.
The courses to be taught include "English Conversation and Writing,"
"Overseas Immersion Program," and other English Department classes. The
applicant should have a sympathetic attitude to Christian education.

DEADLINE: The deadline for receipt of applications is December 15,
2000.
