Description:

The University has made an appointment at senior lecturer level in
Speech and Language Therapy and now seeks a person of high calibre, in
possession of an appropriate degree in speech and language therapy,
with membership of a relevant professional organisation, at
lectureship level.  A postgraduate degree in linguistics, a recognised
teaching qualification and/or research experience will be an advantage
but consideration will be given to candidates who are willing to
undertake appropriate training and qualifications.  The appointee will
be required, in particular, to teach modules in linguistics and
developmental speech and language disorders to speech and language
therapy students. Within a remit of teaching, research and
administration duties will include designing, preparing and developing
modules, preparing teaching materials and supporting students

The successful applicant will
- have an expertise in linguistics and developmental speech and
  language disorders
- have a commitment to the integration of teaching and research
- have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- have excellent motivation and organisational skills
- be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- be eligible for membership of the Irish Association of Speech &
  Language Therapists.

Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 25th April, 2003.

Salary: Lectureship above the Bar:  51,518.93 x 4 = 68,168.55 p.a.
			48,942.98 x 4 = 64,765.06 p.a. (old entrants)

Lectureship below the Bar: 	30,804.08 x 10 = 43,690.78 p.a.
			29,267.44 x 10 = 41,506.32 p.a. (old entrants)
