Dear friends,

I grieve to report that Carol Justus passed away in hospice care early this
afternoon.  I have learned that Winfred Lehmann died this morning, so UT
has lost two distinguished Indo-European scholars in a single day.

Carol's husband Darien says there will be a memorial service after the
semester begins.  In the meantime those who wish can write to him at home:
