Description:

Position: 75% doctoral assistant position in linguistics in the English
department of the University of Neuchâtel

Starting date: August 1, 2010 (teaching starts in late September)

Duties: Teaching in English linguistics, Doctoral research in linguistics

Terms of employment: yearly contract renewable for four years
(exceptionally five) 

Specifications: Applicants must be under 30 years of age on the starting
date (though exceptions are possible) and must have an MA (or equivalent
degree) in linguistics. Advanced skills in English are necessary and a
basic knowledge of French desirable. Preference will be given to candidates
whose research focuses on one of the following areas: derivational
morphology, syntax-semantics interface, syntax or semantics of the verb
phrase or prepositional phrase. The research will be supervised by Andrew
McIntyre (http://www3.unine.ch/andrew.mcintyre).
