Cuadernos de ALDEEU invites researchers, scholars, and authors to submit
manuscripts that explore the incorporation of service-learning in Spanish for
the Professions courses, e.g., Spanish for Legal Professionals, Spanish for
Educators, Spanish for Interpreters, Spanish for Healthcare Professionals,
Spanish for Social Service Professionals, Spanish for Translators, etc. The
aim of this special issue is to provide a selection of high quality empirical
research examining the benefits of service-learning conducted in the US
Hispanic/Latino community, and how these can foster the development of Spanish
as a second or heritage language in a professional domain. 
As you prepare your manuscript for submission to Cuadernos de ALDEEU, please
keep the following guidelines in mind:

- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process 
- Endnotes must appear at the end of a manuscript, followed by the
bibliography
- Manuscripts must not exceed 25 pages in length (endnotes and bibliography
included)
- Manuscripts must follow the MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly
Publishing (8th Ed.)
- Manuscripts can be written in Spanish or English

On the first page of the submitted article (this does not count in the page
limit), authors should provide the following information: 

- The title of the article
- Name(s) and title(s) of the author(s)
- Institution 
- E-mail addresses
- For joint authorship, an indication as to which author will be the primary
contact person (not necessarily the first author listed on the manuscript
itself).
- Abstract (maximum 100 words)
- Keywords (maximum 5)
- Author(s) autobiography (maximum 100 words) 

Please submit a preliminary abstract (450-500 words) by June 15, 2017 to
francisco.salgado at csi.cuny.edu and cuadernos.aldeeu at gmail.com. If selected,
you will be required to submit your manuscript by November 1, 2017.
