Description:

Applications are invited for an assistant professor position (Akad. Rat/Rätin)
at the Department of General Linguistics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität
Freiburg. 

The successful candidate will:

- actively and independently conduct research projects and seek to secure
project grants
- closely collaborate with the head of department in department and research
management
- teach four hours/week/semester in various sub-fields of general linguistics

The ideal candidate:

- has successfully completed a PhD in general linguistics or a related field
- demonstrated independent and innovative research skills
- has research interests in any sub-field of general linguistics
- has research interests in one or more non-European language(s) and/or
cross-language comparison

Planned starting date: asap.
Funding: A 13 TV-L, 100% - Three years (with the possibility of extension for
another three years)
