Description:

The School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences (PPLS) are seeking to
appoint a Senior Teaching Coordinator (Statistics) to contribute to the
delivery of high-quality statistics teaching within their Linguistics &
English Language Science and Psychology units.

Candidates with a background in Linguistics and/or Psychology will be
especially welcome.

Within the relevant unit, the STC will take joint responsibility with other
relevant PPLS staff for designing Undergraduate and MSc-level course syllabi,
creating course materials for future use (for in-person and online delivery),
implementing practical labs, coordinating a team of postgraduate tutors for
statistics provision within PPLS, and acting as the first line of support for
tutors and students on statistics courses. The STC will additionally deliver
lectures as required. In addition, the STC will offer statistical support for
MSc and PhD dissertations and for staff, via consultancy sessions. The STC
will have responsibility for training and coordinating the postgraduate
tutors, coordinating weekly practical labs, developing lab materials, marking
assessments, coordinating with the tutor team and lecturers for marking
queries, holding weekly office hours for students, and running staff and
student statistical consultancy sessions.
