Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate level
courses in Speech Science and Speech-Language Pathology.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Speech,

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing (SLH):
Successful candidates will contribute to and expand on existing SLH speech
science research strengths in research facilities located at the Callier
Center for Communication Disorders. The Callier Center houses state-of-the-art
laboratory, clinical, and core facilities, and is home to UT Dallas’s highly
regarded Speech-Language Pathology program. The clinical facilities at the
Callier Center provide more than 20,000 patient visits annually, including
evaluation and treatment to over 4,000 children and adults; all patients are
registered in a clinical research registry unless they opt-out. The Callier
Clinical Research Center provides infrastructure that connects the research,
clinical, and training arms of the Callier Center, including the registry.

Applicants with interests spanning the spectrum of basic, applied, and
clinical research in speech are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to
candidates with expertise in speech production, fluency, apraxia, or
dysarthria and interest in collaboration across research centers. The
successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level speech
science and speech-language pathology courses as well as doctoral seminars
related to their area of expertise, will build an independent research
program, and will leverage opportunities for vibrant interdisciplinary
collaborations with the Center for Vital Longevity, Center for BrainHealth,
Center for Children and Families, Texas Biomedical Device Center, Center for
Advanced Pain Studies, UT Dallas Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering
programs, and/or the UT Southwestern Medical Center. Clinical and
