Description:

The Chair of Language Use and Migration at European University
Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) invites applications for Academic staff
member (m/f/d) [pre-PhD] (ID 1312-23-01) (up to pay group 13 TV-L,
working time with half the regular working hours, currently 20
hrs./w).

The appointment is initially limited to three years with option to
extend the employment contract.
Your duties will include:
 - Teaching 2 SWS (1 seminar or 2 hours per week)
 - Research to the extent of 50% of the working time for qualification
in the context of a doctorate
 - Support of research activities at the chair as well as in the
academic self-administration

Your profile includes:
 - Very good or good MA degree with sociolinguistic,
linguistic-anthropological or related focus
 - Expertise in culturally oriented linguistics and initial knowledge
of language ideology research
 - Interest in multilingualism and language policy issues in the
context of mobility, globalisation and/or digitalisation
 - Initial outline for the realisation of a doctoral project
 - Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German, if not
available, should be acquired in the course of two years
 - Knowledge of qualitative research methods
