Probably only if the Scots text appeared in print. If someone took a
marking pen and added the like of "breid", "tatties", "ile", or "aipples"
to signs most people's assumption would be that someone was trying to be
funny.

I have heard of one supermarket that does have printed signs in
Scots. I don't know the firm, but I think it's in Dunblane.
