Subject: Translation in Limburgish

Below a tentative translation in Limburgish of the Lowland web page. I will

send it as "html saved" to Ron eventually, after taking in to account
comments from list members.

When translating today, I felt faced with an issue raised in a book I
bought yesterday second hand: a commented facsimile reedition (from 1974)
of Kiliaan's Etymologicum Teutonicae Linguae, edition tertia, MDXCIX.
Apparently Kiliaan started with lists of words in other languages, and in
those cases, where there was no corresponding Dutch word, he __invented__
one. I did what I could to stay genuinely close to how I think others would

refer to the same subjects.

About that book I bought this Friday. I bought it in the Antwerp Lange
Leemstraat, street with most people moving in the street asjkenazy dressed,

black head, black long thick coats despite of the hot weather, lower part
of the trousers put in the socks.... The second hand booksshop shares it's
entrance with a jewish book shop. In the Belgian shop one finds several
editions of "Mein Kampf", even with golden edged paper. I guess  a war
generation is dying and, as a result, for the moment one  finds a lot of
German war litterature in all second hand book shops. But it's neverteless
curious regarding the combination with the Asjkenazy collegue.

Obviously I couldn't resist for checking if in the latter shop if they had
something interesting in Jiddish. The salesmen rapidly screened my
knowledge of that language, and sold me 2 kid books (out of a series of 100

that's very popular among Antwerp Asjkenazy kids).
Back to the subject, here comes my text:
