Hi !
A short note to Ron's words about the plural-endings in Low-Saxon:
In the East Frisian variant of Low Saxon all three plural persons have
the
same ending but this varies locally or from one speaker to another
(sometimes due to migration) between three possibilities:
-t, -(e)n, -nt
wi/ji/säi daut = we/jou/they do
wi daunt
wi daun
wi raupt = we call
wi raupent
wi raupen
I suspect the -nt to be the eldest, the -en to be a matter of the German
superstrate and the -t to be a product of decay like some speakers in
many
cases dont't use any plural ending - they just say: wi dau, wi raup
a.s.o.
