In Scots, we distinguish between "queen" which means the same
as in English, and "quine" which means girl, although it's fairly
well known that the two are connected etymologically.

In the 1970s, the comedian Steven Robertson used to do a monologue
which took the form of his "end" of a supposed telephone conversation
with Queen Elizabeth. It drew gales of laughter when he addressed her
as "quine".

I looked into my old flemish dictionnary and found:
kween - kwene:- onvruchtbaar veers(varrekoe), schaap, geit of zeug
              - verdrietig vrouwmens
              - kinderen,in't wit gekleed, die op passiezondag rondgaan
van
               huis tot huis.
              -manwijf
Franse woord = gouine
kwenelap,kwijnelap= verdrietige klap, trunteklap
kwenelied=lied dat kwenen rondgaand zingen op kwenezondag(2de zondag
voor
Pasen):
Kwene, kwene zondag
Geef de jonge kwene wat
Ze'n eet van de jare nog niet en had
Niet en had noch van dees jaer niet ein en zou
Geef ze nu en goe geval
Tegen dat ze huwen of sterven zou
Geef ze nu en fyge
Ze zoud er vooren hygen.
Ze ging al in haer kamertje
Ze maekte daer van 't madamertje
Ze neemt het mes in haren hand
Ze snyd van de koekekant
Is hy te kleene
Wy houden'  voor ons aleene
Is hy tegroot
Wy spannen hem aen ne wagen
