Hello Randy !
My first reaction on Your question was to assume the language in
question
could be Yiddish but when I thought it over again I got a further idea
by
changing the pronounciation of "Cocher". It is the "chochemer loschn" I
mean. The word is Yiddish resp. Hebrew. The meaning as far as I know is
somewhat like "language of those who have knowledge". It is what we in
German call "Rotwelsch", a type of secret language used by non-Romany
travelling people. It is not really a single language but a more general
term for such languages mostly based on local dialects (that have been
changed in several ways to ensure the speaker not to be understood by
outgroop-people) mixed with much Hebrew loans.
Could this help You ?

Kind regards, Holger
