Hi,
I had purchased a Platt word book while in Leer. All my relatives came from
the Leer and Aurich areas - the book you mention is probably something I
could use and I've found people in the Leer/Aurich areas speak as we do here
in East Central Illinois. I was there in June 2003 and felt like I was home
and they understood us very well. They're always amazed that we still speak
the language as well as we do. We are also learning to read the Platt and
I'm able to become more proficient in it the more I read.

Thank you for the information.
I have Ihler relatives that live in Warsingsfehn/Mooremerland. I was there
3 years ago in June. I'm hoping to return. But I'm always interested in
receiving books on the language, etc.
