Luc asked:
This brings me to my question: Is there any language where Celtic did
leave a substantial fingerprint on the absorbing language?

I think that the only language is Latin, because of the similarity of
the two languages. I don't think there is any language that has a
huge number of Celtic loanwords. I've heard talk of the Walloons being
part Celtic, so perhaps there are Celtic loanwords there.
Likewise in Galician/Asturias, but I think it's been proven that
Galician and Asturian have only a small number of loanwords.

Uilleam Stiùbhart
