Those of you in and around Hamburg, Germany, have the option of getting free
Lowlands Saxon (Low German) lessons offered by a theater group.  Nice public
service action!

Kostenloser Plattdeutschunterricht
für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene in Hamburg

"Hamburg kämpft vermehrt gegen den Untergang der niederdeutschen Sprache:
Unter anderem wird an einigen Hamburger Schulen Plattdeutsch als Schulfach
eingeführt.

Auch das Hamburger Amateurtheater Henneberg Bühne Poppenbüttel e.V. setzt
sich aktiv für den Erhalt der niederdeutschen Sprache ein.
Seit Herbst 2003 bietet sie Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen an,
Plattdeutsch in Wort und Schrift zu erlernen.

Der Unterricht ist kostenlos und findet jeden Donnerstag statt.
