Folks,
In addition to the Afrikaans references, I loved
Roger's list. But a couple of comments. While I
realize one can choose any number of newspapers from
those available, among Dutch newspapers I would be
hard pressed to omit de volkstrant www.volkskrant.nl,
and since you included Denmark and Sweden, I couldn't
resist adding at least one (pretty darn good online)
paper from Norway, Aftenposten, www.aftenposten.no.
Both of these papers have pretty good e-newsletters as
well. Also, if you go to portal.omroep.nl, you can
find more streaming video from Dutch TV than you will
EVER be able to watch. The newsbroadcasts are short
and interesting, plus there are some outstanding
programs like the newsmagazine/discussion show
Nova/den Haag vandaag (www.novatv.nl; also available
through the portal). (Slightly off course: Norwegian,
Danish, and Swedish TV, nrk.no, dr.dk, svt.se all have
considerable amounts of streaming video as well as
news on their sites.)
Stan

Hello,

there are two major Low Saxon news sites that I know of:

Radio Bremen:
http://www.radiobremen.de/bremeneins/platt/news/index.php3

They have a special site celebrating the 25th anniversary
of Radio Bremen's Plattdüütsche Nohrichten.
http://www.radiobremen.de/online/platt/geburtstag/

and Hamburg Welle's Nohrichten op platt:
http://www.ndr.de/903/programm/plattdeutsch.html

Adjüs!

Jan Strunk
