Ron: Would a Texas English version be desirable? I believe I can record a
sound file here at my office.

Absolutely! Why wouldn't it? *All* varieties of *all* "Lowlands" languages
are of interest. By the way, this does not only include non-standard
varieties but what people consider standard varieties as well. So, it would
be terrific to have sound files, one or more of each, of what folks consider
Standard Dutch, Standard Afrikaans, Standard W. Frisian, Standard English
(of various countries), etc. We should not only go for the "exotic" but
include the "normal" as well.

However, in all cases, please rewrite the story (whichever we'll end up
with) to be idiomatically authentic, and send the rewritten version with
your sound file. If you do not change the wording, just point out which
already existing version your sound file goes with.

Thanks and regards,
Reinhard/Ron
