Verskoon tog die mis-spel! Dit is mispel - moepel is 'n heel ander gewas.

germanica_.

Dis jammer: Afleidend die naam 'InFAUSTa' sou ek beslis iets nie net
Europies nie, maar Noord-Europies.

En jy is te soet om self die beterweter te speel, om na die uitlating van
die tweede "nie" te verwys.  Dit was jou kans om my dit te vergeld, maar jy
is te galant vir dit.  Jy kryg 'n goudsterretjie vir voorbeeldig gedrag op
die lys!

   Afrikaans: moepel
   Engels _(red) milkwood_, SA-Engels ook _moepel_
   Duits _afrikanische Birne_

_Mimusops caffra_
   Engels _coast (red) milkwood_

_Mimusops zeyheri_
   Afrikaans: moepel
   Engels: Transvaal (red) milkwood, SA-Engels ook _moepel_
   Setsuana: mmupudu

Maar waar is die Afrikaanse naam "moepel" van afgekom?  Van Germaans, Bantoe
of Khoi-San?  Waarskynlik van Bantoe (vergelyk Setsuana _m+mupudu_).
