Doing research on standard language and dialect for a school project,
yesterday I encountered this myth-breaking article:
http://taalschrift.org/reportage/000659.html
Quite interesting, though presenting it in the class tomorrow (when we have
to give a whole lesson about the subject) won't make the feelings for our
standard language much bigger I think...
Lately - as we've been touching upon the subject for some weeks now in Dutch
classes - I found out that youth regains interest in dialect, and that the
love is far from gone :)

Greets from Antwerp,
Diederik Masure

P.S. I hope I can post my linguistic comments on my 5-day trip to Ireland
soon!
