In Brabantish:

_to tingle_ (E) = _singel(e)n_ (B) ~ zinderen (D)
_to tinker_ (E) = _teffer(e)n_ (B)
_to nitpick_ (E) = _pekel(e)n (B), like in _pekelteef_ : disparaging term 
for a nitpicking woman < pekelen, pegelen, peilen: _to gauge_ (E), hence: a 
woman gauging too precisely, niggard
pegelen < peg: wedge (E). English _peg_ < Middle Dutch _peg_ maybe < 
Indo-European substrate, according to Greek _pássalos_: _pin_ (E)
