In Ireland and Scotland "half cut" for is one of the more usual terms for 
somewhat drunk.

In Stellingwarf zeggen we ok: "hi'j is anscheuten" en ok wel: "hi'j het 'm
(flink) raekt"

We do?  I know "shot" with the meaning "worn out, no longer functioning", as 
in "my nerves are shot" or "the engine is shot".
