Subject: LL-L 'Names'

Dear Lowlanders,

yesterday I came across a name (for female use) I'd never heard before: _Rixta_.
Meanwhile I know about just two persons in our region named this way- one of them
born in 1920, the other one about 1940.

I wonder where this name could originate from; for my guess it should be an
importation (archaic and maybe altered, e.g from 'Riksta', 'Riiksta', '-stra'?)
from a western region of the Lowlandic areas.

Anyone among you with an idea?

Greutens/Regards

Johannes "Jonny" Meibohm
