Op 24-jan-2008, om 0:13 heeft Lowlands-L List het volgende geschreven:

Moyen, beste Rick! Meynst d'n "glomssak" voer keys' (gloms-keys vun
Letland)? "Gloms", "glums" un "glumse" beduydt "kwark" ( *Quark*). Dat
wourd' keym vun *glomzda* in d'n Warmschen (*warmiński*) dialekt vun 't
Poolsch af (Standard-Poolsch *twaróg*).

"Quarksack"? ;-) (*Quarken*/*kwarken* means 'to whine', 'to complain',
Australian 'to winge', and *Quarksack* sounds like a 'whiner' to me, similar
to *Quarkbüdel*.)

Bedankt, beste Rick, ook wen Du daar mit "krayen haan baven up d'n mistbült"
meynen deedst. ;-)

In 't West- un Oost-Pruyssische "plat" (ook in't Mennonietsche) hebt sey ook
dat wourd "glomskop" (Glomskopp) voer *Dummkopf*, un "glomskaken"
("Glomskoke(n)") voer 'n slag keyskaken (*cheesecake*).
