Subject: LL-L "Language politics"

Beste Lowlanners,

just a couple of days ago I read an article in our local newspaper which
attracted my interest.
Meanwhile I found it also in the internet on PR inside.com :

Two facts within this article struck me:

1. Isn't it great that an employer looks out for an employee who is able to
speak Low Saxon? I guess things like these just can happen in Eastern
Friesland (as far as Germany is concerned), because for most of the people
over there it's still their true first language.

2. Isn't it awful that the Low-Saxonian (Niedersachsen, federal state of
Germany)) employers-federation advised against job-advertisements which
prefer people with knowledge of Low Saxon? Obviously this language seems to
be different from any other language...

 Apartheid in Germany - its other face!
