Subject: LL-L "Etymology" 2009.12.21 (03) [DE-EN-NDS]

Sanskrit *naga *(in religion and myth a race of wise serpent beings who live
under the sea and deep within the earth).  Originally IE *snaga -- unvoiced
in English as snake, and thus evidently in the Thai pronunciation of
Sanskrit/Pali.
