Subject: LL-L Language Varieties

1 - In De Standaard of today: a positive - negative article over Gentish
(East-Flemish):
The positive: large interest for a course of Gentish
The negative: the interest proves the dialect is dying.
The article is at:
http://www.euro-support.be/tmp/gents/gents.pdf
I like Gentish because of its very particular sound.

2 - I'm doing a project in Florennes (Namur) in Wallonia for the moment.
I have been checking for walloon speakers.
Those who declare themselves walloonspeakers speak French with some walloon
expressions.
So there is confusion between a French regiolect (also called Walloon) and
(real) Walloon.

Regards,
Roger
