I'm not a boon when it comes to digging up information, but the LL-L
archives aren't exactly the easiest thing to find some info in. The
subject at hand for example, I haven't been able to find to my
satisfaction.

I think this is a perfect illustration of why I don't contribute much any
more: the subject of "I love you" was done to death years ago on the list!


Quite true.

However, maybe the problem is not so much the topic itself, but the way we
deal with it. Artists have been singing and writing about love for thousands
of years...if done well, it never gets boring I think.

It really is difficult to think of something that hasn't already been said!

Of course, on top of that there's the fact that we don't have much in the
way of Scots contributions like we used to.


I, for one, would definitely love to read a [Scottish] poem about...say
"Northern Death, Hate and other Gloom". Or is November more fitting for such
lore? What about "Mennonite Travel Blues" or "The Hazards of Frisian
Fierljeppen"? Am all ears.
