We know :)

"neighbor" (re Germans invading a neighbour). His name may have been used to
increase stereotyping even more (aren't all Englishmen tall, funny and
skeptic? ;=)

It wasn't him.

he's charging even more in Ireland. Real punk philosophy eh? ;=)

He's a traitor to the cause!!

 Beste Sandy,

you wrote:

this sort of thing.*

Today I handed down Luc's earlier posting to a lot of people - all of them
(Germans) were amused.

Let's keep these old and silly stereotypes - no one with brain will take
them seriously, today.
To be trapped within that modern stupid "political correctness" is much
worse, I think.

And to deal with the animosities of our Henryk M. Broder:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henryk_M._Broder (G) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henryk_Broder (E),
published in the German newspaper "DIE WELT" with the widest circulation
after "BILD" is a lot more unpleasant (for Germans only, of course ;-)).
Sometimes a distorting mirror is needed to point out the truth.

Allerbest!

Jonny, the problem is that most people don't even try to use their brains
anywhere near capacity, and it is this majority that takes stereotyping of
that sort seriously. Just look at the comments posted after any online news
article.

Complaints about "political correctness" are getting as old as the
prehistoric views they are supposed to justify.
