The Department of Linguistics at SOAS wishes to employ an
Administrator for the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme.
The post is Fixed Term until August 2016 and the salary is £31,838 -
£37,603 p.a. inclusive of London Allowance

ELDP provides grants to fund projects, fellowships and field trips on
a global basis.  The programme is part of the Hans Rausing Endangered
Languages Project funded by Arcadia (formerly known as the Lisbet
Rausing Charitable Fund) managed by SOAS.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all administrative
aspects of managing applications and awarded grants, with a budget of
up to £1.5 million each year.

As the primary administrator on all grant activities from the
pre-submission to post-award stage, the appointee will work with the
ELDP Programme Director on a daily basis, ensuring accurate financial
records of all grant awards, and providing accurate financial
reporting to Arcadia.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, omputer literacy and
experience of using Excel, Word and databases are essential.
