I don't believe anyone has mentioned the movie "15 Minutes" in which native
speakers portray a couple of deranged Slavs (one Russian, one Czech) who
turn a brutal revenge killing in New York City into a shot at their "15
minutes of fame" by manipulating the media.  Recently released to video and
worth seeing if you don't mind blood.
