Experience of African-American Students in Russia

One of our students at the University of Chicago is interested in studying
in Russia, but since she is African-American, she is concerned about
encountering racism or other related difficulties in Russia if she studies
abroad. Does anyone have any information, anecdotal or other, on the
experience of African-American students on study abroad programs in
Russia? Is there anything in particular to worry about or be careful
about?

Thanks in advance,

Steven
