Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Russian and Film and Media Studies

The Department of Russian and the Film and Media Studies program at 
Colgate University seek a tenure-track assistant professor for a joint 
position.  The candidate is expected to have or shortly receive a PhD in 
Russian language and literature with a serious scholarly and teaching 
interest in Film and Media Studies.  We are looking for a dynamic scholar 
and teacher.  Language teaching experience is a necessity. The successful 
candidate will teach a yearly course in Russian Film, with an intensive 
language section for Russian students. The remaining four courses include 
two in Film/Media Studies (e.g., Introduction to Film and Media Studies, 
World Cinema, Documentary Film, Gender and Film) and two in Russian 
language, literature, and culture.  Please send letter of application , 
C.V., samples of scholarly writing in your research area and three letters
