Compare: Russian newscasters routinely refer to China as "Podnebesnaja".
Could journalistic language be considered PROOF that PEOPLE and not only
journalists refer to China as Podnebesnaja, I mean seriously, not
mockingly. If someone says, "Ja poedu v Podnebesnuju" is this a sign of a
serious use or of self-irony?
