West Side Story in Russian?

Dear all,

A colleague of mine from American History has come across mention of a 1964 performance of West Side Story in Russia with a text "skewed for political purposes," and asks if anyone has any ideas if the text exists and where.  Any suggestions (leads) will, as always, be appreciated.
