Marietta Chudakova on Stalinism and its legacy in post-Soviet times (29.05.2010)

  I got a sense as to just how ingrained Stalinism still was when after 
a wine celebration at  my friend Sevtlana's home in Alma-Ata on 19 
August 1991, for when we dropped another friend near her home she yelled 
back at us 'it is the Return of Stalin'
