I believe the Russian Orthodox (Old Church Slavonic) Christmas greeting is Khristos rozhdaetsa, slavite iego 'Christ is born, glorify him'.

Oops, sorry Dave.  You must not have your Cyrillic turned on.  If your email 
system displays Unicode, you'd see "russkij dialekt Winnebagov, verojatno".
