Is the usage of the phrase 'bush league' a generational event?
Yesterday, speaking with colleagues who are in their 40s/50s, I asked if
they would describe the voting system in a certain state as being 'bush
league'. The responses of my colleagues indicated that they understood
the sports term 'bush league.'

A well-read student, early 20s in age, asked what 'bush league' meant.
Later reflection on the student's question led me to the realization
that I haven't heard or read the phrase in years. The student was only
familiar with urban minor league sports teams.
