Stoop in DARE

Jonas Bronck may have been a Swede.  However, I suspect with the
competition in the west of what is now New Jersey between the Swedes and
the Dutch that it is unlikely he'd have been very welcome even in the
outskirts of New Amsterdam.

I remember "stoop ball" from the Bronck's in the 1940's.  (Definitely

proving it comes from the Dutch -- Except that Wikipedia claims Jonas


Bronck was a Swede!)*  I also remembered that there had been
