Subject: New Historical Newspapers Titles from ProQuest

ProQuest has added two newspapers to the ProQuest Historical
Newspapers program:

ProQuest Historical Newspapers - The Baltimore Sun (1837-1985)

ProQuest Historical Newspapers - St. Louis Post-Dispatch
(1874-1922)

The Baltimore Sun was founded by Arunah Shepherdson Abell as a
people's paper reporting the news that mattered most to the
residents of Baltimore and the nation including Washington D.C.
politics, the slave trade and the Civil War, immigration,
commerce, Americana, and literature.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1874-1922) was the first newspaper
of Joseph Pulitzer, the father of "Yellow Journalism."Â St. Louis
served as a gateway to the west and north and was a city of
firsts including the first public demonstration of radio
communication, first U.S. host of the Olympics, and location of
the world's first skyscraper.
