Maurer

[Cohen, Gerald Leonard]

I see on JSTOR (http://www.jstor.org/pss/454630) the first page of what looks like a very interesting article on Maurer:
Raven McDavid, Jr.: "David Maurer (1905-1981): A Memoir."  It's from American Speech, 1982, pp. 277ff.  
 
Maurer had an assistant (Allan Futrell) who worked closely with him after the automobile accident that left Maurer almost totally blind. I'm not sure where Mr. Futrell is now, but he's no doubt the most knowledgeable living person about Maurer and what he might have been planning in the way of further work.
