I've just recently noticed a few uses of this sort, too, where an
overtly nominative pronoun is used in the first position in a
compound object. I think I heard it in some Olympic commentating on
Canadian television, for one. I'm sure it's not really a brand new
thing, but it did strike me when I heard it, and I wondered whether
it was on the increase. I must start taking notes on it...
