"The final Saturday before Christmas is typically the
busiest shopping day of the year, retailers say. 



The
day, however, doesn't have a catchy nickname like Black Friday, the day after
Thanksgiving. 



"Maybe,
we could call it Panic Saturday," said Ellen Tolley, of the National
Retail Federation. "


I see a fair amount of current news coverage saying that the term originated in Great Britain recently.
