CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

New Ways of Analyzing Variation 46: Progress

We are pleased to announce the Call for Workshop Proposals for New Ways of Analyzing Variation (NWAV) 46 in Madison, WI. We invite submissions for workshops in all areas related to language variation and change, and we particularly welcome those that fit within the theme and scope of the 2017 meeting.

There are four 2-hour slots available for workshops, to be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 (1.00–3.00 pm, and 3.15–5.15 pm).

Proposals should be no more than 500 words, excluding references. They should clearly outline the focus of the workshop, its aims, and its format. If the workshop will include multiple presenters, please include a brief synopsis of each contribution.

All proposals for workshops should be submitted as .pdf files, sent directly to the conference email account: nwav46 at english.wisc.edu<mailto:nwav46 at english.wisc.edu>. The subject line should include the proposer’s last name and ‘Workshop Proposal for NWAV46’.

Proposal submissions accepted: February 1 to May 1, 2017

Acceptances/rejections sent: early June 2017
