The last one that I ever saw was in Cambridge, Mass. It was on Mass. Ave.,
across the street from the Orson Welles. By the mid-'70's, its former
location was a parking lot. The first one that I ever saw was also in the
Northeast - of Texas, where I was born. A&P was in competition with Safeway
and Piggly-Wiggly, in the town.
