I was searching for a New Yorker carton that I could nominate retroactively
as the 2016 QOTY.
But it's nowhere. The New Yorker Archives won't find it. Google won't find
it. I believe it was in the issue in which *all* the cartoons related to a
certain candidate.
OK, it's the Founding Fathers, right? And they're sitting around the table
with the Constitution. And John Adams or somebody asks Jefferson,
"But what if some day a madman takes over, and nobody can do anything [or
maybe "stop him"] , because it's all kind of funny?"
Can any one find the precise caption?
I don't know the name of the artist, who should get a Pulitzer
retroactively.
