CALL FOR PAPERS: Borneo Research Council, 11th Biennial Conference

The BRC Conferences promote research in the Social, Biological and Medical
Sciences, as they relate to Borneo. The overall theme for BRC 2012 is
"Identities, Cultures and Environments".

We invite submission for Papers and Panels on languages and language issues
in Borneo. Linguistics papers at BRC are on any of the languages spoken in
Borneo, and may be from a broad range of approaches: descriptive,
theoretical , comparative-historical, sociolinguistic and so on. Papers
relating to identity issues, language endagerment and  maintenance are
particularly welcome in 2012.

BRC 2012 will of course be closely followed by 12ICAL, the Twelfth
International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics,  2-6 July 2012, Bali,

To submit an abstract for a Paper presentation, or to propose a Panel,

Presenters will have 20 minutes to present, plus up to 10 minutes
discussion time (depending on the number of participants).

Paper proposals, submission of Abstracts:         28 February 2012
Notification of acceptance of Panels                  31 January 2012
Notification of acceptance of Abstracts             31 March 2012

*Languages of the conference.** The principal organising language is
English. Papers are welcome in any of English, Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia and
Bahasa Indonesia. *
