My mistake, ignoring the presence of lipul in Npoqinis^cn Salishan & its
related languages!

Re:  NW languages that borrowed remarkably little from CJ and non-native
languages -- Scott Tyler sent me a nice note about the Makah word for
"chicken" (complete with a CJ version of the "Why did the chicken cross
the road" joke!), and Scott, you remind me that the vocabularies I've
glanced at of Nuucha'nulth / Ditidaht / Makah show extremely little
borrowing of that sort.  Beware, though; I've *only* glanced at them.
