Re the Ktunaxa Jargon; or rather knowledge of the Jargon by the Ktunaxa.
According to Gayle HighPine, who was an early participant in the list (I
don't know about in the last months; haven't seen her post for quite a
while) the Jargon was considered by her people to be "baby-talk" rather than
a real language.  Certainly that far inland it probably wasn't much more
than that......
